LOVE VS HATE

Many times the love that we have for someone can turn to hate

So what is love and what is hate?

When I looked up hate here is what I found

Hate 1 a: intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury.

The definition was short because hate is such a short subject.

But when I looked up love

WOW it was awesome

I will share some of the definitions.

strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties

affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests

warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion

unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another: as

(1): the fatherly concern of God for humankind

(2): brotherly concern for others

b: a person's adoration of God

Love knows no bounds when it is reciprocated but without trust this love begins to loose its savor.

So what is Savor - a distinctive quality

So what is Quality – something with peculiar and essential character

WoW we keep being brought back to Character.

Once again our personality can open many doors but our Character KEEPS them open.

PERSONALITY

In life personality opens doors

But character keeps them open.

WHAT IS AN ENEMY

So What is an Enemy –

1: one that is antagonistic to another; especially : one seeking to injure, overthrow, or confound an opponent2: something harmful or deadly enemy>3 a: a military adversary b: a hostile unit or force

An enemy is someone who seeks to harm you in any way.

Physical, Financial, Spiritual, or Emotional.

IS IT BETTER FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE YOU OR TRUST YOU??

I would submit to you that I would rather have someone trust me and in second place love me.

This may sound perplexing but I will explain.

A mother can love the most lowdown sorry sack of bones for a son or daughter but that does not mean she trust him or her.

It is far better to have someone’s trust than to have his or her love.

If someone trust you, trust me, they already love you, it is only natural.

So what does trust mean - assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something b: one in which confidence is placed

What sticks out to me in this definition is the word character.

6: moral excellence and firmness character

If you will notice when I looked up character there were 7 variations of the definition and the one about being of ( Good Character ) was almost dead last.

That seems to be the tone of our society today.

Moving back to trust.

When we come to the earth God has given us his trust to be obedient to the things we learn of him. When we learn Gods will then we must repent make restitution to the best of our ability and be baptized and receive the gift of the holy ghost and remain worthy of that gift. But we will mess up occasionally and that is where repentance comes in.

God gives us his trust unconditionally and it is up to us to keep that trust.

Once we break that trust by breaking his commandments it becomes our obligation to earn that trust back.

But how do we do that.

It is trough education.

First we have to realize that what we have done is wrong.

Now that may come by many different avenues.

We could have gotten caught.

We could have made a mistake and caught our self

Or through educating our self we realize we have made an error but continue to do it again then we break that trust.

Regardless the trust has been broken and even though it was given free the first go around it is expensive and hard to earn the second go around.

The only way really to earn it back no matter the situation is to become UN selfish because that is what brought you to the error in the first place.

So in life as we navigate our different relationships we will give trust and be given trust and if either party breaks that trust it must be earned back.

Now there are times in extreme cases the trust you once had can never be earned back.

These are known as deal breakers.

Well I looked up deal breaker and there was no definition but it did have suggested words so I chose ( deliberate )

Now when I looked up deliberate this is what it said

to think about or discuss issues and decisions carefully.

Often times in relationships the deal breakers we are faced with come from deliberate actions of the other party that were motivated by selfish desires.

During these times someone whom you thought was a friend becomes an enemy.

A TRUE BLUE FRIEND IS A TRUE ASSET

Asset - 1plural a: the property of a deceased person subject by law to the payment of his or her debts and legacies

Legacies - something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past legacy of the ancient philosophers>

In life if you have a true blue friend you need to consider them an asset. And when you look up asset it refers to legacies. When you have a friend this person given you something from the past. That is why you are friends. This gift has to be nothing more than their time.

So I pose a question what is the biggest complement a friend could give to you at this moment. ( Think of someone whom you consider a friend)

What would it be.

Well for me talk is cheap and so is your outfit.

The biggest compliment anyone could ever give to you is his or her TIME.

In this world now more than ever, time is the most precious commodity someone can possess each choice you make that occupies your time and takes time away from other obligations you have and thus causes you to forfeit other opportunities.

When I was a little boy around 9 years old I learned a poem in school it was entitled

I have only just one minute.

I have only just one minute

Only 60 seconds in it

Force upon me

Can’t refuse it

Didn’t seek it

Didn’t choose it

But it is up to me to use it

I must suffer if I loose it

Give account if I abuse it

Just a tiny little minute

But eternity is in it.

I submit to you that spending time with your Family is what makes them your friends.

Spending time with your friends is what makes them Family.

Now lets look at Liability- one that acts as a disadvantage : drawback

It is a fact of life that we all come with assets and liabilities.

If you find one person who has walked the earth with all assets besides JESUS CHRIST let me know because it is the end of time and he has returned.

So in life when you have a friend they will have assets and liabilities and that is a given.

Now when I talk about assets and liabilities, I am not talking about money I am talking about what they bring to the table as a friend.

Husbands and wife’s and friends are often times opposites because opposites attract and that is what makes the world go around.

It is through these opposites each person learns to meet in the middle and find common ground to become one either as a couple or best friends.

In life you will find those people whom you click with and those you deal with.

Then you have the family that you inherited when you were born and I like to refer to them as stuck with.

No matter what comes or goes whether you love them or hate them trust them or miss trust them you are stuck with them because they are family.

UNSELFISH ( WHAT IS IN A WORD??)

Unselfish – when I looked it up I was astounded at what I saw.
Main Entry:

Pronunciation:

\ˌən-ˈsel-fish\

Function:

adjective

Date:

1698

: not selfish : generous

un·self·ish·ly adverb

<!--[if !supportLists]-->— <!--[endif]-->un·self·ish·ness noun

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

All the dictionary did was put the word NOT in front of the word.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

At first I was put off by this definition.
But then it made sense to me.
In this life we are all familiar with SELFISH.
So it does not take much to explain UNSELFISH. Because it is exactly the opposite of every thing to do with SELF
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->
Main Entry:
Pronunciation:
\ˈsel\
chiefly Scottish variant of self
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->
If you break down the word selfish you get 2 words
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->
Sel which means self
And you get fish.
Well if you look at what you have in that word
When you are selfish you only have yourself and a fish and after three days alone with a fish, it really begins to stink.
But if you are UN selfish you are not alone.

ONLY GOD CAN CURE SELFISH PEOPLE

So what is selfish - 1: concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others.

I have found that there is no cure for selfish people. The only way a selfish person will change is through an act of God. This person must be humbled and only God knows the combination to their cure. A selfish person will never be a good friend because they can see no further than past their nose. This type of person will be your friend when life is good, especially if you have money but when the chips are down in your corner and you are in a dark hour you have become a Liability not an asset to them. And this is when their true feelings show.

I know of a story of a woman. On the outside to everyone this woman is a giver. She loved to give things to here niece and everyone else to see the smile on her face. This little niece grew up without a father. At first this was set up to be a sad scenario. but her grand father took the place of her father in many ways, insomuch that this little girl was considered the 5th child in his will. After his death When it come time to sell his estate not one of the children cared enough to grace the door of their home to even look for family pictures or other history. This young woman went through every piece of her (fathers) belongings to insure no important things like Genealogy was left behind. While she slaved for her cause each family member put in their disgust to the real estate agent about the paint and changes she made to his house to ready it to sell. No one would help but they all complained and some even snuck in to steal in the middle of the night to avoid contributing to the cause. When the homestead was sold and it came time to actually hand over some folding cash this Aunt was very adamant she did not want this girl to be considered in the estate. Many hurtful things were said and true personalities were revealed during this time. But after all of the bitter words were said in the attorneys office this aunt came to the young woman and said honey you know I was going to give you that money. When it was all said and done the young woman actually increased the value of the property far more than she received thus she actually earned her inheritance.

I share this story to help you understand that It is impossible to call back a bullet.

And often it is impossible to mend the hurtful things you do to family.

Since this instance this Aunt has went over and abound trying to buy this young woman’s love but she will never be able to remove the hole in this young woman’s heart when she realized the true feelings of the only family she had ever known.

So with that I will say this.

The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Because loving money breeds selfishness, and selfishness is what brings homes, families, states, and countries to war.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

After seeing this instance played out and watching the fallout from each persons decisions involved, I have spent years pleading with my parents to write their wishes down on paper in a will.

I have told them when they die I will never go back to their house to fight over such material garbage no matter what the monetary value.

My family is worth more to me than any dollar can buy.

So If you are reading this and you don’t have a will

Get one today. And spend your kid’s inheritance so there will be nothing to fight over

Just kidding. Just be prayerful and wise in your estate planning.

IN ORDER TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE WORD FRIEND YOU MUST LOOK AT THE OPPOSITE ENEMY

Enemy - 1: one that is antagonistic to another; especially : one seeking to injure, overthrow, or confound an opponent.

I believe when someone is your enemy it can be traced back selfishness. They are selfish and oppose you or you are selfish and oppose them. If 2 enemies came together with true unselfish Christ like love for each other they would resolve their differences and be friends not enemies.

Many times we meet people who we consider a friend but through their selfish actions we soon realize they are quite the opposite.

DID YOU KNOW A WORD CAN BE A NOUN AND A VERB?

I learned an interesting fact today
I am not an English major but I have never realized until today that a word could be both a noun and a verb.
I looked up the word friend and it gave examples of both
If you are considered a friend to someone it takes no action on your part so you are a noun.
If you are a friend to someone the word becomes a verb because it takes action to be a friend.
Now I say (CONSIDERED) a friend because many people may consider you a friend until your actions prove otherwise.
In this life each day we are faced with choosing what friends we will accept and which ones we will reject.
Now if we truly understood the word friend it would really make our choice each day a much easier one.
So what is a friend?
I have always said a friend is someone I would feel comfortable showing up that their door at 2:00Am and you knowing they had worked 24hour shift and you are sure they would not be upset.
Now I do not expect them to entertain me. A friendly hello, are you ok, If so, they could say, I have worked all night make your self at home and I will see you when I get up.
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->
In my older age I have learned this may not necessarily be a good statement to summarize a friend.
